Keep Portland Geared™!
Bikes, bridges and a bonus event are in store for the 17th annual Providence Bridge Pedal and Stride. Since 1996, this is the only opportunity each year to enjoy the Willamette River bridges – including the top decks of the Fremont and Marquam bridges – from the best possible vantage point: the seat of a bicycle. Avid cyclists and novice pedalers, young and old, savor this opportunity. With bike rides from three to 36 miles, as well as a six-mile walk, the event offers choices appropriate for everyone.
Festivities at the field
After your ride or walk, continue the celebration at JELD-WEN Field, home of the Portland Timbers, with the largest-ever Providence Bridge Pedal Health and Wellness Expo. Celebrate good health at the finish line festivities and enjoy music, free health screenings, prizes and more!
Kids bike free
Providence Bridge Pedal again invites children age 12 and under to participate in Providence Bridge Pedal and Stride free of charge. (For the Stride, children up to age 15 can walk for free.)
All 10 Bridges New!
For the first time in four years, all 10 of Portland’s Willamette River bridges are available for Providence Bridge Pedal. From the Sellwood to the St. Johns, all the bridges will be very bike-friendly on Sunday morning, Aug. 12.
Groups and Teams New!
This year, you, your family and friends can save on Providence Bridge Pedal rides by registering as a group or team. Check out the new group and team registration options.
Express start New!
Now you have a chance to get out ahead of the crowd. Both the 8-Bridge and 10-Bridge rides offer an early starting option for those who enjoy biking a little faster and want to be ahead of the bulk of the riders. Express riders start 30 minutes earlier. The 8- and 10-bridge express starts are limited to 1,000 riders each. Express start registration will not be available on the day of event.
